2304 Duplex Stainless Steel Seamless Pipe Duplex Pren ≥24.0 UNS S32304

General attributes:

The PRE value of 2304 duplex stainless steel is Pren ≥24.0, which is equivalent to that of 316L stainless steel. When we tested the relationship between the critical pitting temperature (CPT) and chloride ion content of several steels in NaCl solution at a potential of 300mV, we found that the CPT value of ASF2304 duplex stainless steel is higher than 304L, which is equivalent to 316L. The test results of several steels in a neutral chloride solution of an autoclave found that the applied stress was equivalent to the yield strength of the steel at this temperature. The test time was 1000 hours. Below the curve, there was an area where stress corrosion cracking did not occur.

In addition, 2304 dual-phase steel has good resistance to intergranular corrosion and can pass the test of CuSO4 + H2SO4 copper chip method. 2304 duplex steel has good corrosion resistance in nitric acid, comparable to 304L. In other acids, such as sulfuric acid, its corrosion resistance is equivalent to 316L. In organic acids, such as formic acid, it is even better than 316L.
