UNS S32304 / 2304 / 1.4362 Duplex stainless steel is a duplex stainless steel made of 23% chromium, 4% nickel and no molybdenum. The corrosion resistance of 2304 duplex stainless steel is similar to that of 316L, and its yield strength is twice that of 304L / 316L austenitic stainless steel. This feature enables designers to reduce product weight when designing products, especially when designing pressure vessels. Compared with 304 and 316 austenitic stainless steels, 2304 duplex stainless steels are more resistant to stress corrosion.
