1,4-Phenylene diisocyanate PPDI tight hard segments

1. Introduction

1,4-Phenylene diisocyanate is a white flaky solid. It has a compact and highly symmetrical molecular structure. The polyurethane made from PPDI performs excellent properties because of its tight hard segments and high microphase-separation.

2. Application

PPDI is mainly used for special casting polyurethane elastomer and thermoplastic polyurethane. The products made from PPDI indicates excellent dynamic mechanical properties, resilience, wear resistance, flexural fatigue resistance, heat resistance, solvent resistance, and low compression set performance at higher temperatures. The products made from PPDI can be used at 135 ℃ continuously.
