WANNATE 8223 is a mixture of diphenylmethane diisocyanate and polyphenylmethane polyisocyanate. It is a brown liquid at room temperature.
WANNATE 8223 is mainly used to produce high-resilience and sound-proof foams, etc., and is widely used in automobiles, furniture and other fields.

4. Storage

WANNATE 8223 has active chemical properties and is very easy to react with water to generate insoluble urea compounds and release carbon dioxide, causing drum bulging and increased viscosity. Therefore, during storage, the container must be strictly dried and sealed and filled with dry nitrogen for protection.
WANNATE 8223 should be stored in a well-ventilated room at room temperature (15-25°C) in a strictly sealed state. If the storage temperature is too low (below 10°C), crystallization may occur, so it is necessary to pay attention to antifreeze. Once crystallization occurs, it must be heated and melted immediately in the shortest possible time; it is recommended to use a hot air oven equipped with a drum device at 70-80°C for baking. Local overheating is strictly prohibited, because the product will decompose and produce gas at over 230°C. After baking, the materials in the barrel must be mixed evenly and long-term storage at temperatures above 50°C should be avoided to avoid the formation of insoluble solids and increase viscosity.
Under appropriate storage conditions, the storage period is 6 months. For products that exceed the shelf life, if the physical and chemical properties are within the index range, it generally does not affect their use.
