4. Storage
WANNATE 8019 is a highly reactive chemical that readily reacts with atmospheric moisture, forming insoluble ureas and carbon dioxide gas. This reaction can lead to pressure buildup in sealed containers and an increase in the product's viscosity. Therefore, after use, containers must be completely dry and tightly sealed under a nitrogen blanket.
WANNATE 8019 should be stored indoors in tightly closed containers at ambient temperatures (15–25 °C) in a well-ventilated area. Storage at low temperatures (below 10 °C) may cause crystallization, and the material must be protected from frost. If crystallization occurs, it should be melted by heating to 70–80 °C, taking care to avoid localized overheating. After melting, the material should be thoroughly agitated before use.
5. Shelf Life
Under the recommended storage conditions, WANNATE 8019 has a shelf life of six months. If the production date is past this, but the material's main physical and chemical properties still meet the guideline specifications, it may not affect its usability.
