ASME SA179 Carbon Steel U Bend Seamless Boiler Tube
ASME SA179 U Bend Tubes are manufactured from cold-drawn seamless carbon steel tubes, precision bent to exact customer specifications for shell and tube heat exchangers. These U-bend tubes eliminate the need for return headers, reducing potential leak points and improving heat exchanger reliability in refinery, petrochemical, and power plant applications.
Custom Bending Capability
- Wide Bend Radius Range: Standard bend radii from 1.5D to 3D, custom radii available per customer drawings
- Precision Bending: CNC-controlled cold bending ensures consistent wall thickness at the extrados and intrados
- Post-Bend Heat Treatment: Stress relief annealing available for tight radius bends to restore material properties
- Multi-Bend Capability: Single and double U-bend configurations available
- Full NDT on Bend Area: Dye penetrant inspection on bend extrados and intrados to verify bend integrity
