Material Specifications
TP 316Ti (UNS S31635 / 1.4571) is a 17%Cr-12-13%Ni steel containing 2.0-2.4% Mo, stabilized with Titanium. This composition minimizes chromium carbide precipitation and enhances resistance to intergranular corrosion.
Performance Characteristics
Superior performance in damp industrial or coastal atmospheres compared to TP 304/304L and ferritic grades. Offers limited pitting resistance in low temperature seawater but susceptible to crevice attack. Enhanced short- and long-time properties at elevated temperatures.
