17-4PH Stainless Steel Plate SUS630 H1025 - 190 ksi Tensile Strength, 0.282 lbs/in³ Density
17-4PH is a chromium-copper precipitation hardening stainless steel offering high strength up to 190 ksi yield strength and moderate corrosion resistance comparable to Alloy 304. This material maintains excellent mechanical properties up to 572°F and can be heat treated to achieve various strength levels.
Standards: UNS S17400, EURONORM X5CrNiCuNb16.4, AFNOR Z6CNU17-04, DIN 1.4542
- Aerospace and aircraft components
- Nuclear waste containment systems
- Paper mill equipment
- Oil field machinery
- Chemical processing components
- Food industry equipment
- Mechanical components requiring high strength
Corrosion Resistance: Comparable to Alloy 304 in most media; resistant to chemical, petroleum, dairy, and food processing environments. Not recommended for prolonged exposure to stagnant seawater.
Weldability: Compatible with most fusion and resistance welding methods. Pre-heating generally not required; inter-pass temperature limited to 248°F.
