The Sludge Continuous Hollow Paddle Dryer is an indirect heating drying processor featuring dual rotating shafts with wedged paddles, jacketed drying chamber, and sealed operation to prevent environmental pollution. With thermal efficiency reaching 95%, this equipment provides efficient drying, heating, cooling, and processing capabilities for various industrial applications.
Working Principle
CHPD series Paddle Dryers are mechanically agitated, indirect heat transfer devices that add or remove heat from process materials. Dual counter-rotating shafts with unique intermeshing discs produce intimate mixing and optimize heat transfer through hollow discs and drying chamber heating jackets.
The heat transfer medium (steam, hot water, or thermal oil) flows through hollow shafts and paddles via revolving joints, completely isolated from the process mass. This design enables efficient drying of slurry, filter cakes, and centrifuge concentrates with minimal steam consumption - approximately 1.2kg of steam per kg of water evaporated.

Heat Sources & Temperature Range
Operating temperature range: 180°C - 250°C
Heating by Steam: Steam enters hollow shafts through rotary joints and distributes evenly to all paddles.
