Tungsten Filled Stem Wireline Tool String
- Introduction
A tungsten filled stem is designed to serve two purposes. It provides the weight required to overcome friction and pressure differential within the stuffing box during wireline operations, allowing the tool string to descend into the well. It also provides kinetic energy, which is converted into a downward or upward jarring force as required.
