Collet Type Bulldog Spear​ Wireline Fishing Tool

Ⅰ.Overview:

The collet type bulldog spear is used to retrieve wireline tools(fish)lost in the well bore that do not have a conventional fishing neck and are therefore best"fished'with an internal spear .Once latched into a fish, this type of spear cannot be released. Collet spear is composed of top sub , sleeve, spring, Slip and mandrel, Screw. The upper connector is provided with a standard external fishing neck at the upper end for connecting to the lower part of the tool string and threaded with a mandrel at the lower end. The outer sleeve has the function of straightening tool.

1. Fishing from the well:

2. Connect the tool under the basic tool string and then run down the well;

3.After reaching the predetermined position, hold the falling object loose;

4. String up the lifting tool.

 Before down the well, the diameter of the inner hole of the salvaging object should be known, so as to select the size of the collet-type spear.
