Wireline Hay Pulley Wireline Pressure Control  

The Wireline Hay Pulley is used to control and manipulate the direction of the wireline or braided cable from a horizontal positon to a vertical position en route to the stuffing box from the wireline unit. This tool is generally positioned  at the wellhead on the lubricator to reduce side pull force and to avoid lateral loading of the lubricator during heavy jarring operations.

The Wireline Hay Pulley is used to pull the wire or cable ( braided cable ) from the top of the lubricator to the drum surface

of the  wire or cable, so that the tension point of the  wire or cable (braided cable ) is moved from the top to the production tree, thus reducing the tension load of the wire or cable (braided cable ) side and preventing the damage of the lubricator from being bent. The hay pulley can also be lifted to change the direction of the load on the wire or cable (braided cable ).
