I. Overview:
The punch in the A-type tubing piercer is seated in the conical wedge groove. After the tool is lowered to the predetermined depth of the tubing and seated, the shear pin is gently shaken down, and then lifted up, following the conical wedge. Ascending, the punch is squeezed out and the tubing is punched through. After half of the stroke of the tapered wedge, the punch is started to be retracted, and then the punch is lifted up and the tool is taken out.
