Double Ram BOP 5K Wireline Pressure Control Preventer
I. Introduction
A BOP (Blowout Preventer) is connected with the top of either wellhead adapter or Christmas tree. Annular
space around wireline or slickline will be sealed by closing lubricator valve when the wireline or slickline is
still in the hole. Then the pressure in the well will be sealed to prevent blowout. Single ram BOP is usually
used for wireline and double ram BOP is for wire stick accordingly. Three ram BOP (with shear ram) is also
available. Max. work pressure is up to 105MPa (15,000PSI). BOP for standard and H2S services are both
available with manual or hydraulic control methods.

III. Structure Characteristics
The BOP consists of body, ram assembly, equalizing valve, end cap, stem, handle, O ring, etc.
IV. Operation Procedure
1. Installation
1.1 Close the wellhead valve. Clean the seal bore of wellhead adapter. Then install it.
1.2 Install the lubricator or other device in to the top of BOP.
2. Open
2.1 Open the valve plug of equalizing valve with allen wrench.
2.2 After the pressure is equalized, rotate the handle anticlockwise. Then ram will be opened.
2.3 Close the equalizing valve.
3. Close.
Rotate the handle clockwise. Then ram will be closed.
IV. Maintenance
1. Disassemble BOP after operation and clean the parts. Check the sealing-face or seal parts carefully.
Replace the worn parts in time.
2. After each disassembly, it is a must to conduct the seal test.
3. Strength test must be conducted on time.
