Structure

The printing blanket typically consists of three distinct layers:
A: The base layer, made of either non-woven fabric or spun-bonded non-woven fabric, affixed to the printing cylinder.
B: A soft and highly resilient intermediate rubber layer with closed gas pores, providing compressibility without voids.
C: An outer elastomeric layer, void-free and in direct contact with the printing material, ensuring optimal printing performance.

Tips 

1) Where does a blanket use in printing?

See the image below.
The blanket is used to cover the blanket cylinder(the intermediate cylinder) in each color unit within printing machine.

 

 

2) How does it work?

Simply speaking, the blanket is to transfer the image from the plate onto paper.
The image is "offset" onto the blanket and then onto the paper.
The blanket creates a smoother image on most types of paper and can print on rough or heavy stocks as well as other media.
Most offset presses use this lithographic method.

 

Packaging
We offer blankets in any size in sheet or in roll as below:
The blankets will be rolled and packed in polymer bags and cartons with enough protective layers.

The customer can decide the content of the backside, usually the logo or size.

 

Maintenance
Clean the blanket with fast volatile organic solvents.
Clean rolls when ink color changing or refilling.
Release the blanket off the cylinder when the printing machine stops for a long time.

New blankets should be stored in a dry and cool place covered with a dark layer.
