     Silicone rubber is prone to oxidation of side groups in high-temperature aerobic environments, forming alkyl radicals. The coupling reaction of free radicals can lead to an increase in crosslinking density, causing the product to become harder and crack. Cerium oxide can prevent oxidation crosslinking of polysiloxane side chains and prevent free radical reactions caused by oxidation in silicone rubber.
