  White triclinic crystal with hygroscopicity. When heated to 91 ℃, it began to lose crystal water and became anhydrous salt at 330 ℃.After dissolving lanthanum oxide or lanthanum carbonate with concentrated hydrochloric acid, HEPTAHYDRATE crystal can be precipitated from the solution. It is used as analytical reagent, raw material for preparation of lanthanum and petroleum cracking catalyst.
