ERW steel pipes are manufactured by low-frequency or high-frequency resistance "resistance". They are round pipes welded from steel plates with longitudinal welds. It is used to transport oil, natural gas and other vapor-liquid objects, and can meet various requirements of high and low pressure. The EN10219 S355J2H Black ERW welded pipe shall have a smooth surface corresponding to the manufacturing method used; bumps, cavities or shallow longitudinal grooves resulting from the manufacturing process are permissible, provided the remaining thickness is within tolerance.
Surface defects may be removed by the manufacturer by grinding, provided that the thickness of the hollow section after the repair is not less than the minimum permissible thickness in accordance with EN 10219-2.
The ends of the EN10219 S355J2H Black ERW Welded Pipe shall be cut nominally square to the axis of the product.
For both non-alloy and fine grain EN10219 S355J2H Black ERW Welded Pipe, repair of the weld shall be permitted.
For non-alloy hollow sections, repair of the body of EN10219 S355J2H Black ERW Welded Pipe by welding shall be permitted unless otherwise specified
