LSAW pipe is referred to longitudinal submerged arc welded pipe which is made of hot rolled steel plate or coils. LSAW tube always goes to the big-sized diameter welded pipe, which can’t be processed by electric resistance welding technology. Furthermore, the mechanical properties of the LSAW pipe base metal and welded metal are tested and the results are in accordance with the corresponding pipe specification API SPEC 5L, which show that domestic LSAW steel pipe can be used for oil and gas pipelines.
