Tomarukun employs a purely mechanical structure to achieve vehicle braking, requiring no external power supply or electronic control. The braking process consists of three stages:
The vehicle's front wheels strike the front support arm, and the impact force is transmitted along the support arm to the pivot point, activating the lever mechanism.
The lever principle lifts the front wheels upward, redirecting the vehicle's horizontal forward kinetic energy vertically into the ground, significantly reducing horizontal impact force—essentially "lifting the vehicle onto its toes" and depriving it of forward driving capability.
The remaining kinetic energy is transferred to the specially designed rubber pad at the bottom, converted into thermal energy through high-strength sliding friction between the rubber pad and the ground. The vehicle gradually decelerates until it comes to a complete stop. The stopping distance is only 8.7 meters at 60km/h and only 3.0 meters at 40km/h.
