SPECIFICATIONS

A dot matrix liquid crystal display (LCD) is a device that displays images by controlling the arrangement of liquid crystal molecules. Its working method mainly includes the following steps:

1. Backlight: Set up a backlight behind the LCD panel to provide uniform illumination.

2. Polarizer: Polarizers are placed on the front and rear sides of the liquid crystal molecular layer to control the propagation direction of a specific light beam.

3. Color filter: A color filter is set on the front side of the polarizer. Each pixel is composed of red, green, and blue filters to produce a color image.

4. Control circuit: Apply an electric field to the liquid crystal molecules through a control circuit (usually including a row and column drive circuit) to change their arrangement. When the electric field stops, the liquid crystal molecules will return to their original arrangement.

5. Image controller: The image controller generates image signals to control the brightness and color of each pixel.

6. Data processor: Convert the input raw data into signals that can be recognized by the image controller, and then transmit the image signals to the LCD display.

Through the above steps, the dot matrix LCD display can realize the function of displaying any text, image and video.
