Porcelain insulators do not present defects in the ceramic-metal interface. The combination of the ceramic insulator with cast iron or aluminium structures using traditional cementing agents is resistant to transition phenomena during electric discharge.

The ceramic material is resistant to rodents, termites, birds, and other animals capable of jeopardising the integrity of the polymers. The surface of the insulator is highly enamelled and hard, which makes the product unappealing to animals.
