Introduction
The outdoor battery cabinets are available in 1 bay or two bays configurations. The cabinet is designed for the purpose of mounting batteries in an outdoor environment. Solar shielding, along with high-security hinges and locks all contributes to the cabinet's suitability outdoors, which can provide an ingress rating of up to IP65. Battery shelves are included inside the cabinet.
The bays once constructed, are assembled on a plinth that provides a solid footing for the cabinet and adds strength to the Multi-Bay format. The internal chambers can be segregated if required to enable separate management of the thermal conditions between bays.
There is a range of methods used to cool the outdoor battery cabinets including a forced air ventilation and optional heat exchangers or air conditioners. ESTEL can design a custom solution with consideration on the number of bays required and the environmental location.
