water-soluble film is produced from polyvinyl alcohol, also called PVA or PVOH, which is biodegradable and non-toxic.

PVA film has excellent organic solvent resistance, which allows pouches and bags to be used not only for dry powders, but also for liquid products. The film is also designed to offer good tensile strength, tear strength and puncture resistance. Products packaged in pva film can reportedly be thrown into a treatment area without removing the film.

Using this film will reduce wasted packaging materials and enable the easy and safe handling of chemicals that require caution when handled. We are planning to target new packaging markets such as disinfection, sterilization, pesticides, and chemicals, etc., that make use of the unique harsh chemical resistance characteristics (halide chemicals in particular).

A plastic film that dissolves in contact with water

Beyond its ecological aspect the water-soluble plastic film is mainly useful for applications that go through a dissolution in water. However, the difficulty is to be able to find the right film for the right product: each film has specific properties that can address different and, in some cases, difficult compatibilities. When the right film/product combination is found, then we have an operational system. It is interesting to know that the water-soluble plastic film also has barrier properties to oils, gasses and odours. This ecological and biodegradable film can therefore answer to real technical problems related to the types of product that we want to pack.

Water soluble film is a special protective film which made with water soluble polymer materials (PVA/PVOH) and through the production of a specific film forming process, we also called its PVA films. When the film soluble in the water, it can be degraded into harmless substances, so it is a kind of environmental friendly, resource-saving new high-tech materials.
