It is a non-staining, non-coloring, hindered phenolic antioxidant containing moiety capable of Deactivating alky| radicals. It is stable to heat and light, has a low volatility, and is resistant to extraction. It protects organic substrates against both thermo-oxidative and purely thermal degradation.
