The Characteristics of ACSR:

• High strength: The steel core provides excellent tensile strength and is suitable for long-distance overhead lines.

Applications

ACSR provides a cost-effective solution for power transmission. While the steel core carries virtually no current, the numerous aluminum wires on the outside offer a large cross-sectional area for efficient current flow. By using aluminum for conduction instead of more expensive copper, ACSR delivers outstanding electrical performance at a significantly lower material cost.

Pay attention to the following steps during installation:

1. Tension control: It is recommended to control the tension at 20% -30% of the rated value to avoid excessive stretching.
2. Sag adjustment: Adjust the sag according to the ambient temperature, generally within the range of 1% -3% span.
3. Connection processing: Use specialized crimping tools, and the recommended crimping pressure is 20-30MPa.
