AACSR (Aluminum Alloy Conductor, Steel Reinforced) is engineered for power transmission lines across various voltage levels. These conductors feature a galvanized steel core surrounded by concentric layers of aluminum alloy wires, providing exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and durability.
Construction & Design
The conductor consists of multiple aluminum alloy wires stranded around a central galvanized steel core. Core configurations typically include 7, 19, 37, or 61 steel wires, optimized for different load requirements.
Applications
AACSR conductors are suitable for all practical transmission towers and structures, ranging from extra high voltage (EHV) transmission lines to sub-service spans at distribution voltages, similar to ACSR applications.
