The All Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced (AACSR) MOOSE Conductor is a concentrically stranded cable featuring one or more layers of aluminum alloy wire over a galvanized steel wire core. The steel core may be single or stranded depending on size requirements. AACSR conductors are engineered for use in all practical transmission towers and structures, with applications ranging from extra high voltage (EHV) transmission lines to sub-service spans at distribution voltages.
