Standard PVC insulated copper building wire designed for low voltage power distribution in residential, commercial, and industrial applications. Rated for 600 volts with temperature ratings up to 95°C.
Applications & Specifications
General purpose wiring for lighting and power circuits in accordance with National Electrical Code standards:
- Maximum conductor temperature: 75°C in wet or dry locations
- Type TW: 60°C rated for wet or dry locations
- Type THW: 75°C rated for wet or dry locations
- Type THW2: 95°C rated for wet or dry locations
Certifications & Standards
- UL listed as Type THW per Standard 83
- VW-1 flame test designation for all sizes
- UL listed as Oil Resistant I
- UL listed as Sunlight Resistant (250 kcmil and larger, black only)
- 250 kcmil and larger pass UL and IEEE-383 ribbon burner flame test
- Conforms to Federal Specification J-C-30B
Cable Construction
- Conductor: Solid or Class B stranded annealed uncoated copper per UL Standard 83
- Insulation: Flame-retardant, moisture- and heat-resistant thermoplastic
