Safety Joint Overview
Safety joint is a critical downhole safety tool widely used in fishing, washover and downhole testing operations.
It can be installed at required positions in the drill string, capable of bearing tension, compression loads and transmitting torque during operation.
When required downhole, the safety joint can be easily backed off to release the upper pipe string.
When running in hole again, it can be reconnected conveniently to resume downhole operations.
