【ESR Tube Introduction】

13×75mm ESR test tube is specially used in blood collection and anticoagulation for Automated Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate Analyzers sedimentation rate test with the mixing ratio of 1 part sodium citrate to 4 parts blood, by Westergren method.
8×120mm ESR sample tube is applicable to various Automated Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate Analyzers. Due to little volume and negative pressure inside the tube, it needs some time for blood collection. Do patiently wait until blood stops flowing into the tube, then completely mix the anticoagulation and additive by turning the tube upside down for 6-8 times. Inappropriate mixing will cause hemolysis, coagulation or blood bubble and influence the test result.

【ESR Tube Sequence】

Attentions:

• It’s critical to fix the needle holder and needle wing of the scalp vein set.
• Do not use the tourniquet more than 1 minute.
• Immediately mix the blood and additive inside the vacuum blood tubes after blood collection.
• Collect blood as the above sequence.

【ESR Tube Use Instructions】
 

Step 1: Choose the right specification pen-type blood collection needle and take off the white cover of the vacutainer needle.

Step 2: Screw the tube needle into the needle holder.

Step 3: Take off the color cover of the needle and choose the human proper vein to puncture. Insert the ESR tube Westergren into the holder and press to puncture the tube stopper.

Step 4: After the vacuum in the tube used up, blood will stop flowing into the tube. Take out the ESR Westergren tube from the holder.

Step 5: Right after the blood tube taken out, turn it upside down 5-6 times to mix the blood and additive inside completely. Intense turning is strictly prohibited.

Step1: Screw tight the connection between tube needle and the soft pipe to prevent leakage of vacuum or blood during the blood collection.
Step 2: Choose the human proper vein to puncture and blood flow could be seen.
Step 3: Insert another side of the venous blood collection needle into the tube stopper.
Step 4: When 0.5ml short of the rated blood volume in the final tube, take out the needle from the vein. Take off the needle from Westergren tube after blood in the soft pipe all flows into the blood draw tube.
Step 5: Right after the vacutainer needle taken out, turn the blood sampling tube upside down 5-6 times to mix the blood and additive inside completely. Intense turning is strictly prohibited.
