Q1: What are the purposes of silicone coating on the needles?
A1: Our diabetic insulin needles have silicon coatings for both front and back side of the needle. There are mainly 2 purposes: One, for front side of the needle, it minimizes the friction with the skin and decreases pain of the patient when the injection is made. Two, for back side of the needle, it prevents possible damage of rubber seal when assemble with pen type syringe.
