Introduction of T/C Gluing Shirt Collar Fusible Interlining Fabric

Shirt Collarng Interlining is a fabric that's placed in between two layers of actual shirt cloth at the cuffs, collar band, and collar (leaf). It gives extra strength to these areas, which either come under the most stress, need to stand up (band) or look smooth (leaf).

Interlining is always sewn in, whether fused or not. The stitching that holds the top and bottom of the collar together, and the inside and the outside of the cuffs, also goes through the interlining.

The advantage of fusing is that you get a more or less permanently smooth look. Unfused collars and cuffs require fairly careful ironing to look smooth, and they won't hold that look as well with wear.
