Brief Introduction of Geocell Confinement System
Geocell, as a new type of synthetic material, began a lot of research and development work in Europe and the United States in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The test and field application show that it has great effect in improving the bearing capacity of general fill and subgrade protection. In the early 1990s, on the basis of absorbing foreign advanced experience, China started the development and research of geocell, and made great breakthroughs in the treatment of road subgrade diseases and the application of fixed loose media. With the further understanding of the characteristics of geocell, it has been found that it has the irreplaceable advantages of other geotechnical materials (geotextile, geomembrane, geogrid, geomembrane bag, geonet, etc.), so it has a unique application prospect in many fields.

Geocell Confinement System Characteristic
The geocell is light in material, wear-resistant, strong in chemical function, resistant to light and oxygen aging, acid and alkali resistance, which is applicable to different soil and desert soil conditions. Geocell is a kind of three-dimensional reticulated cell structure, which is made of REINFORCED HDPE sheet material and highly welded. High lateral limit with anti-skid, anti deformation, effectively strengthen the bearing capacity of subgrade and evacuation load.
