2. What is Geotextile
As the geotextile is produced by repeated needle punching, it has a three-dimensional pore structure. We are accustomed to call it the equivalent aperture. The equivalent aperture of short wire cloth is generally in the range of 0.07 to 0.2 mm, while that of filament cloth is in the range of 0.05 to 0.2 mm. Its three-dimensional structure makes it have good water permeability. Because it has good breaking strength, here refers to the tensile force, so its main function is to reinforce and protect. In addition, it has the main function of being permeable to water and impermeable to soil. This main feature is called "reverse filtration". In summary, the non-woven fabric has the functions of water permeability, reinforcement protection, and filtration.

1. Good physical and mechanical properties
The working environment of geotextile is bad, in many cases it is soaked in water or spread in soil with high humidity, so it must have good hydrolysis resistance and wet mechanical properties.
2. Resistance to ultraviolet radiation, hydrolysis, high and low temperature resistance
Geotextiles must be exposed to sunlight, so they must have corresponding UV resistance; geotextiles must adapt to the temperature when it comes into contact with asphalt and other materials, and require a higher melting point.
3. Chemical resistance, corrosion resistance and mildew resistance
The quality of water and soil are very different. Some are alkaline, some are acidic, some are salty, and some contain various elements, so they must be chemically stable.
4. Good water permeability
Geotextiles need to be permeable for filtration and drainage, so they must have good water permeability.
