1. The Match of Star bags and Cages
The air-to-cloth ratio of a given filter material and filter surface, dust retention and filter cake release determine the efficiency of the fabric filter pulse jet bag shell. In this regard, the pulse jet filter bag of the prior art is limited by the perimeter of the filter bag. Increasing the size of the filter housing to increase the perimeter of the filter bag and thus the efficiency of the filter often results in an expensive and bulky filter housing.
The pleat/star bag has the advantage of either taking the same filter surface of conventional cylindrical filter bags and reducing the diameter (thus reducing the spaced need for filter elements) or taking the diameter of standard filter bags and increasing the filter surface available. The pleat/star filter bag can be made out of any type of filter material, and can be used from normal temperature conditions going up to 280° C. or 530° F.
Star/pleat filter cages are special designed to fit star bags, which is not like ordinary ones with tigh match. Star cages is a kind of loose match of star bags, which is good for deashing.

1)Polypropylene is attacked by UV light, and will dimensionally deform under unsupported load over 82℃
