Star filter bags (Star bags) and Star filter cages (Star Cages) are special design to extend the filter surface. They are designed and developed to be integrated into existing system and process without requiring costly and major equipment changes. The resulting filter star/pleat bag achieves a filtration surface which is up to 2.4 times as large as a conventional filter bag of the same diameter and length. Moreover, as the resulting filter star/pleat bag is stabilized by the pleat/star cage and bands, the filter material can be moved more during the pulse-jet cleaning cycle, therefore it can be cleaned more easily. This reduces the compressed air and effort required in the pulse-jet cleaning cycle. Additionally, the star cage substantially facilitates and reduces the cost of transportation.
