The gear is a necessary part in the laser chuck. After the chuck base is fixed, it is only necessary to install the supporting motor and gear connection, and at the same time connected with the compressed air source to achieve clamping workpiece, drive the workpiece rotation. The gear used by laser chuck can be divided into straight gear and helical gear. Helical gear and spur gear have their own advantages. The biggest advantage of helical gears is high transmission accuracy, followed by high intensity and noise and vibration control (high end overlap, low harmonic resonance in modal analysis). Helical gears can better eliminate the impact of pitch error on accuracy because the torque fluctuation caused by friction is smaller. Straight gears may even do better than helical gears purely from the point of view of motion smoothness (smoothness of line load curves).
