The typical estimated life of Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries is 5-8 years, or 2000 to 5000 charge cycles, depending on specific usage conditions such as Depth of Discharge (DOD), working current rate, working temperature, and whether a balancer is used.
Q3: If I want to solar charge LiFePO4/Lithium Ion battery with PCB, would a normal controller work fine?
For LiFePO4/Lithium Ion batteries, we always recommend using LiFePO4/Lithium Ion solar controllers. Lead Acid solar controllers constantly provide pulse current to the battery, which might damage the PCB over time, compromising battery protection.
