Mild compression helps prevent stress on terminals and internal structure changes, which can decrease capacity and performance over time. This is especially important in mobile applications or environments with vibrations.
Binding methods include fibre-tape, strapping, or flexible binding materials (protect cell corners from crushing). Alternatively, use frames with end plates pulled together with threaded rods & nuts, or custom cases.
Tip: When assembling your battery pack, consider placement of temperature sensor probes for your BMS.
