Some CATL lithium batteries may have internal crystallization due to various reasons such as insufficient capacity of negative electrode, high moisture, internal short circuit, or overcharging. These batteries have had their electrolyte poured out and refilled, supplying lower cost than original CATL batteries. Additionally, some defective products that haven't qualified for QC pass have their safety valves removed and may be welded with new safety valves for resale, however these new valves lack overcharging protection.
