High-Performance Wide Body Bow Shackle
Increases usable sling strength by minimum 15% and greatly improves life of wire rope slings
Compatible with high strength synthetic web slings, synthetic round slings, and wire rope slings
All sizes quenched and tempered for maximum strength
Forged alloy steel construction from 7 through 300 metric tons
Cast alloy steel construction from 400 through 1550 metric tons
Sizes 300 metric tons and smaller proof tested to 2 times working load limit
Sizes 400 metric tons and larger tested to 1.33 times working load limit
Hot dip galvanized shackle bows with yellow painted screws and bolts
Meets or exceeds ASME B30.26-2004 and RR-C-271D requirements
DNV type approval certification available upon request
Technical Advantages
Wide Body Shackle features an improved bow radius that significantly enhances wire rope sling lifespan. The high load capacity design includes safety bolt, nut, and cotter pin for secure heavy lifting applications. The increased bow radius reduces sling wear and tear, allowing use of lighter wire ropes for equivalent heavy loads. Galvanization ensures long-term corrosion resistance and durability.
