Product Description
Our screw pin bow shackles feature quenched and tempered construction with high-quality carbon steel shackle bows and alloy steel pins. All shackle bows are hot dip galvanized for superior corrosion resistance, while screw pins are painted yellow or can be customized upon request.
Bow shackles and anchor shackles are interchangeable terms referring to shackles with a larger, rounded "O" shaped bow. This design enables side loading and accommodates multiple sling-leg connections, providing versatile rigging solutions.
The screw pin configuration features a threaded pin inserted through the ears and tightened securely. The large rounded shape allows loads from multiple directions without developing significant side load stress, making them ideal for multiple-leg slings, connecting slings to load rings, and accommodating wider straps. Note that Working Load Limit reduction must be considered when used in side-loading applications.
Screw pin shackles are best suited for temporary applications requiring repeated and quick connections/disconnections. They are not recommended for permanent or long-term installations.
