Description:
ISO 5488 complete set single flight aluminum pilot accommodation ladder with fixed platform is used on merchant ships (excluding passenger ships) to enable crew and pilots to embark and disembark safely. It is composed of ladder frame, upper platform, lower platform, post, davit, safety net, turning device, close device, handrail, winch (electric motor winch, pneumatic moto winch or manual winch). The winch is used to lift, lower the ladder and turn whole ladder with platform in the storage position. Handrails are either foldable or removable.
 
Main Technical Specifications:

1. Standard: ISO 5488:2015, IMO Resolution A.1045(27), Pilot transfer arrangements;
2. Material: Aluminum, Mild Steel;
3. Step: Fixed arc step, anti slip;
4. Distance between stanchions: not more than 1500 mm;
5. Handrail Height: not less than 1000 mm evenly spaced;
6. Nominal Length: 3.6 m to 18 m in 0.6m increments; above 18 m in 0.6 m increments;
7. Width: 600 mm;
8. Steps Distance: 300mm & 350 mm; 300 mm for the nominal length of not more than 18 m, and about 350 mm for the nominal length of more than 18 m.
9. Usage Angle: 0-55 degree With the steps horizontal, the ladder shall operate safely at an angle of 55° from the horizontal. According to the requirements of IMO Resolution A.1045(27), the pilot accommodation ladder shall operate safely at an angle of 45° from the horizontal.
10. Design Load: 735 N on every step; Pilot accommodation lader:1470 N on intermediate two steps simultaneously
11. Winch & Motor: air pneumatic motor driven winch, explosive proof motor driven winch, electric motor driven winch
12. Surface Treatment: Anodic oxidation treatment; 
13. Class Certificates: EU MED, EC type approval, CCS, NK, BV, ABS, DNV-GL, LR, KR, IRS, RS, RINA. .
