Bagasse Rotary Drying Machine Overview
Bagasse refers to the sugarcane granular waste remaining after crushing and pressing operations.
Typically, 2 to 3 tons of bagasse are generated for every ton of sucrose produced. This material
is rich in cellulose with low lignin content, making it an excellent fiber resource.
Fresh bagasse consists of irregular loose particles with low density and poor combustion
characteristics, making it difficult to transport, store, and utilize effectively. After drying,
bagasse demonstrates improved density, durability, and combustion properties, facilitating
easier transportation and storage. The dried sugarcane residue serves as valuable biomass energy.
Energy-Efficient Drying Process
The Bagasse Rotary Dryer utilizes boiler flue gas for drying operations.
Sugar plant boiler flue gas typically maintains temperatures between 160-180°C, representing
significant thermal energy value. This hot air is extracted from the boiler flue and directed
into the dryer system via an induced draft fan.
