Golden Expanded Vermiculite is a versatile mineral material processed through specialized rotary kilns for agricultural and horticultural applications. This hydrous phyllosilicate mineral undergoes significant expansion when heated to 850-1100°C, creating lightweight, porous particles ideal for soil conditioning and growth media.

Vermiculite forms through weathering or hydrothermal alteration of biotite or phlogopite minerals. When heated in industrial rotary kilns, it expands at right angles to cleavage planes, producing concertina-shaped particles many times their original volume.
