Working principle: The silicone oil fan clutch uses silicone oil as the medium and uses the shearing force of the silicone oil to transmit torque. The space between the front cover of the fan clutch and the driven plate is an oil storage cavity, where high-viscosity silicone oil is stored.

The key sensing component is the spiral-shaped bimetallic temperature sensor on the front cover, which deforms due to heat to control the valve plate to control the silicone oil to enter the working chamber to join the drive shaft and the fan.

When the engine load increases and the coolant temperature rises, the high-temperature airflow blows on the bimetallic temperature sensor, causing the bimetallic plate to be heated and deformed, driving the valve plate drive pin and the control valve plate to deflect an angle. After the airflow temperature exceeds a certain temperature, the oil inlet hole is opened, and the silicone oil in the oil storage cavity enters the working cavity through this hole. The torque on the active plate is transmitted to the clutch housing through the shear stress of the silicone oil, which drives the fan to rotate at a high speed.
