Rubber O-rings can be classified according to standard and non-standard, or can be classified by product quality and physical properties.
We recommend that users use metric-standard rubber O-rings when designing products. These rubber O-rings are easily to buy on the market and relatively inexpensive in terms of price. Non-standard rubber O-rings are generally custom-made, lengthened in time, and will increase in price due to custom products.
Rubber O-rings are also classified by “hardness”, which can distinguish the same type of material and physical O-ring. O-rings with a hardness range of generally 40-90 degrees and 40-60 degrees are generally used at low pressures and require a high degree of sealing. 80-90 degree O-rings are generally used in high pressure environments. Normally, 70-degree O-rings are generally used.
