Usage
ADSS vibration dampers (PVC Helical Rod for ADSS ) reduces Aeolian Vibration (the high frequency, low amplitude vibration caused by horizontal wind passing across the line. It it designed to be used on ADSS/ OPGW and conductors with an outside diameter less than 0.75".
A smaller gripping section gently grips the cable so that cable and fiber are not damaged or distorted and there is no optical signal loss. Spiral dampers are recommended for the ADSS cable when the combination of span length and tension indicate by vibration review that external vibration protection is required.
