Technology Overview
Ultrasonic sensors utilize piezoelectric ceramic technology to generate and detect sound waves. When electrical signals are applied to the piezoelectric ceramic chip, it deforms and vibrates to emit ultrasonic waves. Upon encountering obstacles, these waves reflect back and are converted into electrical signals through the reverse piezoelectric effect. The constant propagation speed of ultrasonic waves in media enables precise distance measurement based on time differences between transmission and reception.
Ultrasonic waves produce significant echo reflections when contacting impurities or interfaces, and generate Doppler effects when interacting with moving objects. This technology finds extensive applications across industrial, civil, defense, and biomedical sectors.
